I’m Linda, and this is Hatchett Active.
my dream began long before this brand ever existed - as a young girl flipping through fashion magazines, sketching designs in watercolour, and immersing myself in a world of style and creativity. deep down, I always knew one day I would create something of my own. a label that felt like an extension of me. I was fortunate to grow up between two worlds - my mother Swedish, my father Australian. from an early age, I was exposed to different cultures, perspectives, and ways of living. whether travelling across Australia or spending time in Sweden, these experiences shaped the way I see beauty - effortless, considered, and deeply connected to lifestyle.

years later, while living in Brisbane, I felt a quiet pull for something more. on a whim, I applied for a job in Dubai - a place I knew very little about, other than its vast desert landscape. a few months later, I packed my life into a suitcase and moved across the world.

that decision changed everything.

living in Dubai allowed me to travel to over 60 countries, expanding my understanding of people, culture, and ultimately, myself. It was one of the most defining chapters of my life. then 2020 came - a time that challenged so many of us. for me, it became a turning point. a moment where I decided to stop waiting, and start. I had no background in production, fabrics, or business. just a feeling - that this was bigger than me. 
I worked two jobs to bring Hatchett Active to life. and while the journey has been incredibly rewarding, it has also been one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done. the biggest obstacle wasn’t external - it was the voice in my own head. The doubt. The fear. The constant questioning of “what if it doesn’t work?”
but every time, I came back to the same question:

why did you start?

and my answer was always stronger than my fear. Hatchett Active is not just a brand. it is an extension of my values, my lifestyle, and the way I believe we should feel in what we wear.

 

why we’re evolving

as I’ve grown, so has the brand.
over time, I became more conscious of what I was putting on my body - not just skincare or food, but clothing. the reality is, what we wear sits on our skin for hours every day. and yet, so much of the industry relies on synthetic, plastic-based fabrics.

it didn’t sit right with me.

this next chapter of Hatchett Active is about moving towards something better - lowtox, natural fabrics that feel as good as they look.
this shift isn’t about perfection. It’s about awareness. about making more considered choices - for our bodies, our environment, and our everyday lives. because I truly believe:
what you live in should support your wellbeing, not compromise it.
